Onze tickets zijn aangekomen, we vertrekken dus op 22 november naar Addis en Tamene. Nu nog wachten op dat eerste fotootje.

Vertrekdatum - departure date
Onze vertrekdatum richting Addis en Tamene zou zondag 22 november zijn. Nog niet 100% zeker maar donderdag zouden de tickets uitgeschreven worden en woensdag is een feestdag, dus ik kan vrij zeker zijn. Niet veel tijd meer om de visa's te gaan halen.
Our departure date for Addis and Tamene would be sunday november 22nd. Not a 100% sure but we are tuesday today, tickets would be issued on thursday and tomorrow is a bankholiday. So very little chance anything would still change. Very little time left however to go and get our visa's.

Het is officieel - It's official
Vandaag om 14.33 een mailtje aangekregen waarin stond dat alles vlotjes was gelopen in de rechtbank en dat ik dus nu officieel de mama ben van Tamene. Wow, nog veel emotioneler dit dan die toewijzing. Ontlading langs alle kanten. 3 dagen van migraine hieraan vooraf gegaan, maar nu voel ik me wondergoed. Als ik uitreken dan is het mogelijk afreizen rond 20 november! Sinterklaas mag al voor 2 kindjes komen :)
Today around 14.33 I received an email mentioning everything went well in the court appearance, so I am now officialy the mother of Tamene. This feels much more emotional than the day of the matching. I have had 3 days of migraine, but now all stress seems to be floating away. Possibly we will travel around november 20th. So our Sinterklaas can bring presents for 2 children :)

Tamene's bed
Wel, vele taakjes in de tuin heb ik links laten liggen om eindelijk die tent voor Tamene zijn bed af te maken. Met wat duw en trekwerk en hulp van Bent eindelijk erin geslaagd. Bent al dik jaloers op die mooie tent. Maar toch samen met hem zitten kijken om Tamene ook onderaan een tent te geven om te spelen. En de belofte dat ik ook voor hem ging proberen zo'n boogtent te vinden. En het is echt puur toeval dat de tent in Ethiopische kleuren is. Maar mooi meegenomen. Nu proberen een groen dekbedovertrek te vinden :) Verder weinig te vertellen, nog 2 weken wachten op de rechtbankzitting.
Lots of jobs in the garden I set aside to finally finish this task of Tamene's tent. With some pulling and pushing and help from Bent we finally succeeded in setting up this tent. Which is purely by accident in Ethiopian colours. Bent was pretty jealous about the nice tent, but still helped me to choose a tent for underneath the bed. Now find some green quilt covers to follow the ethiopian colours scheme. Otherwise not much to mention, 2 more weeks of waiting before court date.

Nog een weekje verder - another week gone by
Niet zo heel veel te vertellen. Het Bed van Tamene is klaar, maar ik moet nog een speciale tent in elkaar stoppen en dan pas zal een fotootje volgen. Grote broer doet het wonderbaarlijk goed in het 1st leerjaar en de directie ziet het zitten dat hij afwezig zal zijn om zijn kleine broer te gaan ophalen. Dus weer een paar dingen minder op die to do lijst. Vanmorgen naar de luchthaven gegaan omdat een vriendin aankwam met haar zoontje. Heel emotioneel allemaal. Alle mensen zagen er moe uit. En nu word hen rust gegund zodat ze kunnen wennen aan de nieuwe omgeving en elkaar. En wij krijgen een beetje meer zenuwen want 16 oktober komt korter en korter!
Not very much to tell. Tamene's bed is ready but I still need to set up a special tent for it, and only then I will publish a picture. Big brother is doing very well in his first year of primary school. And he is a good reader! Teacher and director don't mind that he will be absent for a week to go and meat his new brother. We will get things for him to do and learn along. So a few more items to cross out on the to do list. I went to the airport this morning to meet a friend arriving with her son. Very emotional and they looked tired. Now they will be getting some peace and quiet to get used to the new situation and each other. We are getting a bit more nervous since October 16 is coming closer.

Het is vandaag Tamene zijn verjaardag. Hij wordt 3 jaar! Ik denk veel aan dat hummeltje vandaag, waarschijnlijk weet hij nog totaal niet wat een verjaardag is. Hopelijk kunnen we het voor het einde van het jaar overdoen met taart en pakjes :)
Today is Tamene's birthday. He is now 3 years old. I think a lot of him today, probably his birthday will not be celebrated. And he does not even know what a birthday is, nor getting presents. Hopefully before the end of the year we get the opportunity to celebrate with cake and presents.

Rechtbankdatum - Court Date!
Mijn rechtbankzitting zal op 16 oktober doorgaan. Ik had me hierop ingesteld, einde september durfde ik al niet meer te geloven. Oktober lijkt niet veraf, maar als ik dan uitreken dat ik ten vroegste mogelijk pas op 20 november kan vertrekken.... slik, toch nog lang wachten!
